Bamboo silk is sometimes referred to as "art silk" - as in artificial. But it's created from a natural plant - the bamboo plant - and is a cost-effective substitute for the real thing. It has many of the same properties as silk, with its drape, durability and sheen comparable to natural silk. It's also eco-friendly because bamboo is a sustainable source.
